Buy or Bye: Oil Diffuser

I started spring as many do, with a good spring clean and clear out. But, I got carried away and that spring clean quickly turned into setting myself a new project –  to completely refresh my bedroom décor. This included purchasing a new bed, curtains, bedding and some essential bedroom accessories.

One of these accessories was an essential oil diffuser. Before this, I had never really understood the hype around diffusers but since buying it I haven’t been able to stop raving about it (as my work colleagues will probably tell you.)

Firstly, the essential oil diffuser I opted for is //ws-eu.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&OneJS=1&Operation=GetAdHtml&MarketPlace=GB&source=ac&ref=qf_sp_asin_til&ad_type=product_link&tracking_id=emstagramr-21&marketplace=amazon&region=GB&placement=B074MP8MXW&asins=B074MP8MXW&linkId=8963b94308efb7334e63e4958080a172&show_border=false&link_opens_in_new_window=false&price_color=333333&title_color=0066c0&bg_color=ffffff” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>this one from Amazon. I chose it for a number of reasons including the fact it had amazing reviews and was a really good price! After buying this, and several different scents, I thought it was about time I shared my thoughts on it with you all!

I must say, it’s certainly worth doing some research into these before buying one to establish whether you will actually get use out of it. After doing my own research, I decided that I definitely would…

Amount of Oil Needed: I typically use 6-9 drops, depending on how strong I want the scent to be, along with 250ml of water to fill the bowl up. (If you’re wondering, my current favourite scents are peppermint and eucalyptus. Mixed together they are perfect for night-time and morning diffusing.)

Run Time: This machine can run up to 8 hours, and switches off automatically when it runs out of liquid, which means it is perfectly safe to leave un attended.

Lights: It has LED lights that rotate, or you can choose from a selection of constant colours. It also works without the lights if you’d prefer.

Ease of use: This oil diffuser has many pros, and the first one being that it is super easy to use! I simply fill up with water, add a few drops of my favourite oil and switch the machine on.

Appearance: This diffuser will look great in any room, of any colour scheme as it’s super sleek and stylish.

Power: I’ve found this to be super powerful, considering it’s such a small machine. I keep it in my bedroom and it makes the whole upstairs of my house smell delightful!

Overall, I couldn’t recommend purchasing an oil diffuser for your home enough! I just love the fact that you can clear the air, improve the mood of everyone in the room, and even provide real health benefits at the same time, with just a few drops of the right oil!

Have you already got an oil diffuser? Let me know what you think in the comments!

  1. I have the Young Living Travel Diffuser. While it does use batteries, I just use rechargeables. The reason why I like it is that it can go anywhere. So if I want to pack it for my kids when they go to grandmas, I can do that. I can put it in the van for the 6 hour trips up north to the cottage. I can put it in an area of the house that doesn’t have plugs close by. I can set it out on the balcony while I do stretches.

It works great, I enjoy it.
