ASOS has been really stretching its wings in the beauty lines it has started stocking and when I was browsing the site, as I do most evenings, I noticed that First Aid Beauty had launched a new skin tint, and I knew I had to try it! First Aid Beauty provide a fantastic range of skin care which seeks to help skin of all types feel and look refreshed.
Their Hello FAB Goji Berry Skin Tint is packed with Vitamin C, Zinc Oxide and most importantly has an SPF factor 30 – you all know I like to protect my skin from UV rays all year round. So, since I have been putting this product to the test recently, I thought I would share with you all my thoughts on it…
The packaging of the product, is cute and certainly unique. You receive 30ml of product, and it comes in a bottle with a needle nose dropper, which I quite like as you can easily control the amount of product that comes out and allows for a more precise application.
In terms of formula, this has quite a watery consistency, which means when it’s applied to the skin it feels ultra-lightweight. It has a satin-matte finish, which I think will be perfect for when the weather heats up – it will help combat that pesky sheen we all get when the sun is shining! The skin tint also contains a mix of antioxidant-rich plant extracts, as well as being fragrance free, which makes it perfect for sensitive skin.
With only four shades available at the moment, this product won’t match every skin tone, but hopefully as the product gains more popularity, they will release more shades.
When using this skin tint, I personally like to apply it directly onto my skin and blend it in with a buffing brush. As you all know by now, I LOVE a dewy finish, so I apply a liquid highlight underneath the tint, but if you prefer a matte finish then you can simply set the product with powder and you’ll be good to go all day.
The product retails at £28 – quite a hefty price tag when you only receive 30ml of product. However that being said in each drop you get many skincare benefits, plus ample SPF and full coverage, so I believe it’s worth every penny.
I’ve had this skin tint for about a week now, and have worn it every day since so you could say that it has become a firm favourite in my makeup collection! It’s a dream product to work with, and I will certainly be repurchasing this time and time again.
