Foundation, contour and highlighting sticks have taken the beauty community by storm in the past year and I think it was thanks to the arrival of products such as the Fenty Beauty Match Stix and the KKW Beauty Sticks. So, when I saw that L’Oréal were releasing a foundation stick I was so excited to try it. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you’ll know that I love cream bronzing too, so when it came to picking up the foundation I knew I had to get two shades! So, without further ado, here’s my L’Oréal Infallible Foundation Stick review…
The packaging of the shaping sticks is nice. Nothing too special, and nothing too extravagant! The foundation comes in a tube, like you’d expect for a stick foundation and you get 9ml of product. The only thing I found strange is that on the packaging ‘Infallible’ is spelt ‘Infaillible’, not sure if this is an error on L’Oréal’s part, let me know what you think of this in the comments.
Both of the sticks are very creamy, have medium coverage and are so easy to blend! I typically apply them both to my face directly, but they also work well when applied onto a beauty sponge.
When using these sticks, I usually apply the lighter shade all over my face and blend and then I apply the deeper shade where I would usually bronze. In terms of finish, I would say they produce more of a satin finish, but can be made matte if you apply a powder. I personally prefer a dewy finish so only powder under my eyes to prevent creasing!
The Shaping Sticks retail for £8.99 each, but are usually on 3 for 2 at Boots with other L’Oréal products. Paying £8.99 for a medium coverage, high quality foundation that lasts all day, I really don’t think you can go wrong!
To be honest, I am completely in love with these shaping sticks and I would highly recommend. L’Oréal has to be one of my favourite drugstore brands, they not only provide affordable high quality products, but they also feel luxurious and always live up to my expectations.
