BUY OR BYE: BECCA X Chrissy Teigen Glow Palette.

Becca is known for its highly successful influencer collaborations, and the brand has officially hit the jackpot, sending the internet into a frenzy with its collaboration with model, and queen of Twitter, Chrissy Teigen. If you could create the perfect palette for summer travels, then it would without a doubt be the NEW Becca x Chrissy Teigen Face Palette. It features a perfect summer bronzer, a beautiful blush, two glowing highlight shades, and a very large mirror. As soon as this came out, I knew that I needed it and I knew that I needed to review it for you all.

I’ve had this palette for over two weeks now and wanted to get a full opinion before I reviewed it, but let me start by saying that you shouldn’t be put off by the £45 price tag, as this palette is worth every penny and here’s why…

Let’s start with the bronzer called ‘Malibu Soleil’, a very warm, satin finish bronzer. I personally find this bronzer to be perfect for my skin tone; it’s not in any way too orange or too shimmery, and it blends easily onto the skin. When using this bronzer, I simply apply a generous dusting to my forehead, cheekbones, and neck with my Real Techniques Blush Brush for the perfect bronzed look. Unlike most of my bronzers, I’ve also found that this bronzer lasts all day long, especially when layered on top of a cream bronzer.

Next up is the blush in the palette, ‘Hibiscus Bloom’– a lovely warm, pink blush. Now, from first look this shade seemed very daunting and I didn’t think I would ever like it. However, after using it a few times, I am completely in love. When used with a light hand, it doesn’t come off too strong, and truly adds a pink glow to the cheeks. If you prefer a stronger blush, then this is also easily buildable so it will be perfect for any skin tone. I personally like to mix this with the ‘Rose Gold’ highlighter for perfect glowing cheeks, which lasts on the skin.

Moving on to the highlight shades in the palette. The two highlighters don’t look too different in the pan, but on the skin, they give off very different effects. The texture of both highlighters are pretty consistent with that of Becca’s regular range. They’re both very smooth and finely milled, which makes them easy to apply without being patchy and emphasising textures on the skin.

The first highlighter in the palette is Rose Gold’, which, as the name suggests, is a rose gold pressed highlighter. I prefer using this highlighter when I’m going for a natural makeup look; however, if you like a blinding highlight, then you won’t like this shade.

On the other hand, the second pressed highlighter in the palette ‘Beach Nectar, is much more blinding. Beach Nectar is a golden peach shade that’s completely new to Becca and is a little lighter than Rose Gold. Out of the two, this is certainly my favourite because it adds more of a dramatic highlighting effect, which would be perfect for any skin tone.

Overall, this palette is certainly a must-have and is absolutely worth the hype. It has everything that you’d want in a face palette, and all the shades complement each other nicely to give you healthy looking ‘Californian skin’. I also want to add that no matter what your skin tone, you shouldn’t be put off by the peachy undertones as with any makeup look the palette will add a beautifully bronzed glow.
