With 2017 being the year for bronzed and highlighted skin, NARS are currently killing it with all their new releases! They’ve recently released so many amazing limited-edition palettes, and so when I saw that they were releasing a new bronzing and highlighting palette for summer, the Bord de Plage palette, I knew that I needed it in my life and I knew I needed to review it for you all.
As soon as the palette arrived, I instantly fell in love and couldn’t wait to take pictures!
Within the palette you get four beautiful highlight shades, which all blend seamlessly into the skin without emphasising your pores-
Left to right-
Rivage – ivory white with golden pearl shimmers
Crique – rose gold Shimmer
Corniche – soft pink shimmer
Galet – golden bronze shimmer
You also get two matte bronzing shades, which are great for both contouring and bronzing-
Left to right- Rivage, Crique and Laguna – medium 1
Left to right- Corniche, Galet and Casino – medium 2
Each of the four highlighters are very different shades, which is perfect because whatever makeup look you’re going for, you can always turn to this palette. Along with two shades of bronzing powder, this is great for any skin tone.
To apply the highlighter, I find that the Real Techniques Duo-fibre Contour Brush works amazingly and picks up just the right amount of product for a blinding highlight. To apply the bronzer, I like to use the Real Techniques Blush Brush!
You may be asking yourself, what makes this palette so special? Well, with water-activated, very pigmented highlighters and sun-wash diffusing bronzers, you can really create the perfect summer makeup look. The palette also comes with a large mirror in the compact, making it a summer holiday essential.
I am always so impressed with every product that NARS bring out, and they’ve certainly outdone themselves this time. For £45, I can honestly tell you that this palette is worth every penny, and if you’re a highlight and bronzer addict like I am, then you need to get this!
