Shaken, Not Stirred

You might have noticed lately that cocktail-flavoured/scented beauty products are becoming more and more popular, whether it’s Gin and Tonic, Prosecco, or even Espresso Martini – they’re everywhere! So, when I received this amazing packaging from Hearth and Heritage*, I was very excited to write a review for you all.

I received my package about a week ago now, but I wanted to give all of the products a decent period of use, allowing me to get to know them and to ensure that I can provide an honest review.

As a little introduction to the company; Hearth and Heritage is a small Nottingham business, which was first launched in 2013 by Sue Rowe-Price. Hearth and Heritage handmake and sell a variety of beautiful smelling products, from candles and lip products to bath bombs, and are known for their alcohol scented twist.

Let’s start with the wonderful Gin and Tonic Flavoured Lip Balm, which is made with shea butter, cocoa butter, and calendula oil – perfect for dry summer lips. This lip balm is totally natural, whilst still smelling delicious, and moisturises the lips beautifully! I simply apply this throughout the day when needed, and since it comes in a handy 15ml tin, it’s perfect for throwing in my work bag.

The next lip balm that I received is the Gin Sling. Again, Gin themed and perfect for the summer! Containing the same natural ingredients as the Gin and Tonic, this lip balm has a cherry and juniper berry scent to create the flavours of the famous Singapore cocktail. Out of the three lip balms that I’ve received, this is definitely my favourite and an essential if you love anything cherry scented.

I also received the Raspberry Bellini Cheek and Lip Tint. Like the other two items, this is also made with natural products and is presented in a cute, travel-friendly tin. This leaves a very subtle vintage pink tint to the lips, without being too bold. I personally wouldn’t wear this as a cheek tint, as it’s far too glossy; however, it’s perfect for an ‘on the go’ lip colour!

I’m in love with these lip balms and thankfully now my lips will be perfectly moisturised, just in time for summer!

The final item that I received was ‘A Box of Three Cocktail Bath Bombs’ which, as the name suggests, includes three individually wrapped bath bombs in a box. I was far too excited to use these, so as soon as I could, I ran myself a bath and popped one of these in and let me tell you, it was AMAZING. The bombs fizz nicely in the water, and they left my skin smelling delightful! The scent is like a fruity cocktail, and it honestly made my whole house smell delicious. I couldn’t recommend these enough.

Hearth and Heritage also have a variety of other products on their websites, including gift-sets.  If you are looking for the perfect gift for one of your alcohol-loving girlfriends, then you need to get them one of these cocktail scented products!

  1. These sound great! I love the packing. I’m not even a fan of gin haha but the lip balm sounds really good and I’m always searching for the holy grail of lip balms 😂🙈 xx
