From having a boyfriend and two brothers who don’t have much clue about girly things, I know it can be hard not knowing what to buy for the girly girl in your life, so I thought I’d make your life easier and create a gift guide especially for her.
This gift guide contains all products that I love, and think would make perfect gifts!
First up, staying away from makeup, I’ve chosen the Tiffany & Co. Olive Leaf Band Ring (£175); a beautiful, dainty, elegant ring that will suit anybody. To be honest, I would recommend anything from Tiffany as the little blue box makes a real impact! However, if you’re struggling with what to purchase then this would make the perfect gift.
Again, keeping away from the makeup, another item that would make the perfect gift is a Ted Baker purse (£27-£99). A purse makes a great gift as it’s something she’ll use on a day-to-day basis and by investing in a designer one it means it’ll last for a long time!
Moving onto something that you simply can’t go wrong with… perfume. Every girl is always in need of a new perfume, but it’s one of those gifts that you never want to buy yourself. My favourite is the Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey Cologne (£44-£88). I really love this scent as it’s both floral and fruity at the same time, so it’s the perfect fit for the summer months. Although on the pricey side, I think this would make a great gift as it lasts a long time on the skin and in the bottle. Another bonus is that it comes in beautiful packaging when gift wrapped!
For makeup, I know that there are so many giftsets out there but I thought it would be nicer to include the palettes that a beauty lover would love to receive. The first being the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette(£25); a trio face palette that includes a blush, bronzer and highlight. I couldn’t recommend this more for a birthday gift, since most girls wear all three of these items every day, what could be better than having them all in the same compact palette? I think all of the colours in the palette are super flattering to my skin tone, and blend seamlessly onto the skin! The palette also comes in four different shades, perfect for all skin types!
The next palette on my list is theBalm Nude Dude Eyeshadow Palette (£32), which is great for everyday use. The palette comes with 12 shadows, with each shade being so pigmented yet so buttery smooth. For £32, it’s worth it!
If the special girl in your life loves the bronzed and glowy makeup look, then the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in the shade ‘Bronze’(£35) will be perfect for her. If you aren’t familiar with the Shimmer Bricks, they’re superfine pigments that reflect radiance and light; they contain five shades that can be swirled together to create the perfect bronze goddess look and I would highly recommend.
If you’re on more of a budget for a gift then you honestly can’t go wrong with a M.A.C lipstick (£16.50). With over 180 shades, there really is something for everyone! My favourite shades include ‘Really Me’, ‘Pink Plaid’ and ‘Russian Red’ but you can read more about them here.
If I’m ever unsure of what to get a friend for their birthday and I’m on a budget then I tend to find that putting together a little gift set of my own works best. In this gift set for the beauty lover, I included:
- The Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask (£1.99), something that will allow them to pamper themselves on the night of their birthday celebrations.
- Real Techniques Multi-Task Brush, a makeup bag must have!
- Barry M Nail Polish (£2.99), these make a nice addition to a gift to go along with the pamper night!
- Sleek Highlighting Palette (£9.99), if the birthday girl loves her highlight then this is the perfect palette for her!
All these items from the home-made gift set cost below £10, making them affordable and by creating your own gift it will make the gift seem like you’ve spent loads of time putting the products together!
Nothing completes a birthday more than a cake, so why not treat them to a bakerdays personalised one?
I found out about a company that sends cakes that fit through your letter box which I knew would be a perfect gift for my gift guide. Baker Days allow you to pick a cake, personalise it and choose the flavour of sponge and then they post it to you along with candles, balloons and a party blower! It’s that simple! The cakes are mini, and could probably serve between 4-6 people making it a great add on gift for her! So, if you are a bit stuck on how to surprise the girly girl in your life then why not treat her to a Baker Days cake*?

If I didn’t own these products already then, I’d love to receive them as a gift! So, if you’re struggling on what to get the special girl in your life, whether it be your girlfriend, mum, best friend or sister then be sure to pick something off of this blog post and you’ll go down in present buying history!
