Buy or Bye: Garnier Ultimate Blends

Recently, my hair has been feeling rather dry and brittle, so I thought it was the perfect time to test out a new shampoo and conditioner. I’m also a big believer in changing your shampoo every so often, and since I’m due for an appointment at the hairdressers, I thought I’d try out the Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut Water shampoo and conditioner.

This combo is marketed as the ultimate therapy for normal to dry and dehydrated hair. As the name suggests, Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut Water & Aloe Vera Shampoo and Conditioner are both enriched with coconut water and Aloe Vera extracts, which leave hair soft, smooth, and beautifully shiny. I can say now, this is 100% true; even after the first wash, my hair felt amazing and I received many compliments on how shiny my hair was looking!

I’m so used to only washing my hair once-twice a week that I’m scared a new shampoo will break this cycle, but this product hasn’t. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. It cleanses my hair better than any other shampoo I’ve used before; it has a beautiful lather and its silicone and paraben free, all whilst being enriched with natural ingredients! The texture of this shampoo is very gel like, and you don’t need much of it to create a perfect lather in your hair, making it feel like it’s really doing something. Even my mum, who also has bleach blonde hair, loves this shampoo, so it’s perfect for any age too!

When applying conditioner, I simply apply a VERY generous amount to my hand and coat the ends of my hair, from ears down, leave it to sit for about five minutes and rinse. My hair has never felt so soft! Because my hair is bleached and damaged, I really struggle to keep it healthy, but this has really made a difference. Like the shampoo, the conditioner is also silicon and paraben free and comes in 100% recyclable bottles!

If you’re not a huge fan of coconut scents, then don’t be put off; the smell isn’t too strong, but smells fresh and clean whilst in the shower AND it leaves your hair smelling pretty good after every wash too! In terms of packaging, both products make me want to go on holiday with their tropical theme. They’ll definitely be coming on my summer travels with me.

Overall, I love these products and will 100% be repurchasing once they’re empty as I honestly believe that they’ve helped my hair stay thick and healthy!

If you’re on the market for a new shampoo and conditioner, I couldn’t recommend Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut Water shampoo and conditioner more highly. At only £2.99 each for 200ml you really can’t go wrong, and it just proves that you don’t have to spend loads on good hair products to get luxury results.

Let me know if you’ve tried either of these products or what your favourite shampoo and conditioner combination is in the comments below or on Twitter- @Emstagramr.
