ColourPop has to be one of my favourite affordable makeup brands, so when I received an email a few weeks ago to say FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING, how could I possibly have turned that down?
I haven’t made a ColourPop order in so long, I usually find it’s too much hassle and I ALWAYS end up paying custom charges, but I thought why not, they have so many amazing products and I knew I had to try more!
Here’s a rundown of what I purchased, with my first impressions and swatches!
I’m going to start with shadows as I’m most excited about them! Whilst shopping online I noticed that ColourPop now offers value sets, which is so helpful for me, as then I don’t have to individually select the shades that I would like! The one that I purchased is Studio 1400 which comes with the shades: 8 Track, a deep bronze, Static, a deepened burgundy, and Donna, an emerald green, which are all satin finishes; and finally, White Rabbit, which is an ultra-metallic pink copper. So far, I’ve only actually used 8 Track on my lids, but I can already tell I’m going to love them all. There’s something about ColourPop shadows that makes them so unique. They’re honestly so buttery that when you touch them, they almost feel wet, and they’re so pigmented that you only need one swipe and you’re good to go! I also really like how long-lasting the shadows are. Another bonus: there’s no fall out! I can’t wait to try out all the other shades!

Sticking to the eyes, when I made this order, ColourPop had an offer to receive two free brushes if you purchase an eyeshadow quad, so I also received two brushes. I’m not going to lie, they aren’t the most amazing brushes in the world but they were free so I can’t really complain! I think I’m going to keep testing them out with different products and see how they work, but at the moment, it’s a thumbs down from me on the brush-front!
If you’ve read my ‘Kiss and Makeup’ blog post then you’ll know that I am completely in love with the ColourPop Lippie Stix, so obviously, I had to get more to add to my collection. The first shade that I purchased was Aquarius, a perfect nude with a cream finish. If you’re looking for an everyday nude that won’t break the bank, then you need this; it’s so easy to apply, it’s thick and creamy, so only one coat is needed, and it’s long-lasting! What more could you ask for?
The next shade that I’ve added to my collection is Cheers, a matte raspberry red! I decided to bite the bullet and get this shade for when I’m feeling a bit more daring! I haven’t tried this out yet, but from the swatch I can already tell that I’m going to love it! The Matte Lippie Stix formula is perfect if you can’t quite cope with the dryness of a liquid lipstick as they have the same effect without being drying!
I also noticed that ColourPop had a new lip product, the Blotted Lip, which I had never heard of before. I ordered this in the Shade Déjà Vu, a ‘my lips but better’ nude. The Blotted Lips is a sheer but buildable matte lip colour, which is a formula that I LOVE! I want to try more of the Blotted Lips!

My final items are two of the ColourPop highlighters in the shades, Hippo and Butterfly Beach. Starting with Butterfly Beach, this is a muted rose gold highlighter perfect for summer when I have a little bit more of a tan. Hippo is the opposite of Butterfly Beach, a light highlight that has a hint of purple with white, gold shimmers. Similar to the eyeshadow, these have the most unique texture, which is almost wet to touch! I haven’t tried these on my face yet but when I do, I’ll let you all know how they wear!

In terms of shipping ColourPop to the UK, obviously, they had free shipping so I didn’t have to pay a fortune to get it shipped to me. However, if you’re planning on making an order please be aware of CUSTOM CHARGES! I ended up having to pay £18.30 in custom charges for this package, so the free shipping wasn’t really worth it!
