‘Tis the season for dewy skin, and just in time for summer, Marc Jacobs has launched its new Coconut Infused Gel Highlighter, and I couldn’t be more excited to share my thoughts on it with you all.
I am already a huge fan of Marc Jacobs Beauty, so I couldn’t wait to try this out!
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you’ll know that I am completely in love with the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops, so I thought why not try something different? When I found out about this product through various Influencers and Marc Jacobs themselves, I went on a hunt for this highlighter in the UK because I knew that I needed to try it out!
Firstly, let’s talk packaging. The sleek design of a black lid and frosted glass, which is frequently used for Marc Jacobs products, makes this seem so luxurious and looks perfect when sat on top of my makeup storage! The only negative I can find regarding packaging is that the pump releases too much product at a time, and you don’t need a full pump to make your skin glow. I’m still testing to try and pump less out!
This £32 highlighter in the shade ‘Dew You?’, leaves a natural peachy glow to your cheeks. It’s a lightweight, coconut-infused highlighter, which illuminates my complexion beautifully. I also think that the dew drops will be perfect for a range of skin tones, from light to dark!
Although not as dramatic as the Cover FX drops, the Marc Jacobs drops leave a subtle glow, which is buildable.
While you’re all thinking that the price tag of this item is high compared to other liquid highlighters, you have to remember that you are paying for the high-quality packaging and the brand. In my opinion, it is definitely worth it though, as these highlighter drops glide onto the skin, whether it be bare or on top of foundation, beautifully and stay all day.
I’m not usually one for peachy highlighters, but this is my new favourite. It’s the perfect addition to my highlighter collection and I hope that Marc Jacobs Beauty releases more shades!
