Glow Get ’em

Highlighting and brand collaborations seem to be two trends that are here to stay in 2017. In this category, the latest product to trend is the Anastasia Beverly Hills X Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit. I have been an avid YouTube watcher for so many years, and must admit Nicole Guerriero’s channel has been one of my favourites, so when I found out about this beauty collab, I knew that I had to get my hands on it!

If you’ve read my blog before then you’ll know, I LOVE to glow, so this was just another excuse to purchase it, but I’m here to let you all know if this collaboration is worth the money, or if it’s just another YouTube star putting their name on something that’s not that great…

If you’re living in the UK, this palette is currently available on the ABH UK site, but it is only available for a limited amount of time, so if after reading this blog you think this product is worth the hype, you should get it now before it’s gone!

The palette features six unique shades that are all on the warmer side, but don’t let them intimidate you; the shades will definitely suit all skin tones! (+1 to Nicole.)

Not only are these shades highly pigmented, they’re also incredibly buttery smooth. The glow that you get from these products is blinding! You can see from the swatches on my hand that these highlighters look amazing, but on the face… they are even more impressive!

With this six-pan palette, you can get a smooth glow that lasts all day. You can wear each shade separately on the face or you can do what I like to do and layer them together; my favourite combo is ‘Forever Young’ and ‘Forever Lit’!

If you’re not into over-the-top highlight, then apply the highlighters with a light hand and a fluffy brush. For instance, I like using the Real Techniques Contour Brush! However, if you prefer an intense look, then build up the pigment with a denser brush. I love doing this with the Illamasqua Round Buffing Brush!

In my opinion, this palette is worth the hype and worth the price! It would also make the perfect gift if you have a makeup lover’s birthday coming up. In fact I would go as far to say that I think this might be my favourite highlighting palette of all time… now that’s a big statement!

Have any of you tried out this palette? I would love to know what you think of it!

  2. Oh it looks really pretty! I have to admit I am not really an avid YouTube watcher, but I love that you told me a lot of them collaborate with makeup brands! I think Kitty Kat is my favorite shade, and I will have to try highlighting with a fluffy brush, like you said!
