So, I thought I’d write my first ever blog post on a few of my favourite things from make up to skincare to hair. I hope you enjoy!
Need I even say it? Mascara is of course a must for many of us, which is why I have to mention it first! My current go-to is the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes!
Although on the pricey side, this mascara does wonders for my lashes and I find it is really worth the money as it pulls my lashes into a pretty curl and coats them a glossy black which stays all day. Next, let’s talk about my must-have moisturiser! The Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer Stress Minimizing Daily Hydrator
is AMAZING! I haven’t tried too many products from Kiehl’s in the past but after going into the store and having a skin test, I was recommended this moisturiser and have been so pleasantly surprised! I have been using this moisuriser for over a year now, and it’s made my skin so happy! It’s light-weight but still very hydrating, I have combination skin and find that it isn’t too greasy and is perfect when I feel like I have dehydrated skin. This moisturiser has a highly efficacious formula that reduces the visible signs of stress on skin, which is great too! Moving on to the concealer, I think this is again, one of the things I cannot live without. I have tried so many, and there are so many I love. However, my favourite concealer of all time has to be the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer
. This concealer is so lightweight, making it perfect for the under-eye area, and the coverage is medium to full which is perfect for imperfections! I wore this all day whilst in 32 degree weather, it didn’t crease or budge off my face and that’s when I knew this was my holy grail concealer!
Since I am a little on the pale side I feel as if bronzer’s can be too orange or too dark however, I have learnt that bronzer isn’t to be feared! My all time favourite is MAC Refind Golden Bronzing Powder, as it’s the perfect shade with a beautiful shimmer and as the name suggests it gives your skin the perfect golden bronze look with a glow! A recent discovery of mine and one that is set to become a firm favourite thanks to its ability to add vibrancy and life to my locks is the Revlon Colour Ball in 1002. This product is one of the best toners to get rid of the brassy tones in my hair and leaves it feeling so soft and healthy. I simply run a couple of pumps through my brassy hair, leave to sit for half an hour and rinse out and I can say hello to my ashy blonde hair again! My final must-have is inspired by Olivia Jade on YouTube, the Mario Badescu Rose Facial Spray, which I have quickly fallen in love with. I’ve been using this for over a month now and have used it for everything, before make up, after applying make up and even just for a refresh during the day!
